Shanghai lowers registered capital threshold for transnational regional headquarters

The "Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on Encouraging Transnational Companies to Establish Their Regional Headquarters" were issued to the public recently. According to the new regulations, the registered capital threshold of transnational companies setting up their regional headquarters in Shanghai decreased from 30 million to 10 million U.S. dollars.

Shanghai attaches great importance to optimizing the investment environment in order to attract more multinational companies to set up their regional headquarters in Shanghai and provide corporations with facilities for their development in the city.

By now, 206 regional headquarters of multinational companies are located in Shanghai. Shanghai has become one of the cities with the most regional headquarters of multinational companies in China's mainland.
